Central station

D300 - 24 mm, 1/100 sec f/2.8, ISO 400

The roar of an airplane taking off

and the soothing rhythm of a train,

they speak of people

thinking, loving, seeking.

How many different lives

so terribly alike.

what we later find we had at hand.

going down under...

Dear Readers,

my job requires me to attend a very interesting conference in Melbourne and I shall wander there for a couple of weeks after that (yes, it's terrible... I know you all pity me).
So, starting from tomorrow, I will be collecting some more dust on my lens (presumably red dust) on a journey across one of the most amazing land on this planet.
As I am not sure about internet connection while I'm traveling, and considering I hope I will be busier being in awe than fighting with a unwilling WiFi, I ask for your patience as this blog won't be updated regularly.

So long...
A.

Hush

D300 - 18 mm, 1/30 sec f/4, ISO 800

I am not a pious person. There have been though some places where I have felt sense of intimacy and depth. These sensations aren't necessarily related to religious places, but on some occasions it feels as if there were a certain aura hanging over a particular spot.
This tiny ancient church (founded in the late XII century), about 15 min. away from home, is a place I have visited twice, mostly driven by photographic curiosity.
During my latter visit, a sense of awe and reverence filled me while I was alone in the chapel. I'm grateful for it.
