I long to dive into the water after you.
To touch your flame, to feel your life.
Said England unto Pharaoh, "You 've had miracles before,
When Aaron struck your rivers into blood."
How can you shine
if you won't let go.
I wish I were a seagull
when the evening comes.
Silently.
To touch your flame, to feel your life.
Said England unto Pharaoh, "You 've had miracles before,
When Aaron struck your rivers into blood."

For some reason, the poem by Maggie Quam touches me the most. It's so beautiful in its simplicity and I think we've all been there.
ReplyDelete@ Crazy time & Kristin: thank you both for your comments. There is really no competition going on here and I like to see different people relating to this or that inspiration. This is really the game's goal, to uncover new facets in our thinking and let them resonate in our mind.
ReplyDeleteI must say i like Maggie's prompt very much. The sense of reaching for something, symbolized here by the sun, is expressed very clearly there, and only hidden in my lines.
