Remembering

D70 - 105mm, 6,0 sec f/13, ISO 200

Golden blonde, coy and reserved,

hard, fragile, mysteriously hidden

from my eyes, sought in vain,

furtively kissed, where unreal flowers bloom.

  1. This poem reminds me of a seed that you have planted and are reflecting on how it is being nurtured by the ground. I love the way you personify both the seed and dirt, and how you describe the unseen portion of this stage with an image of flowers blossoming. I have never thought about the growth of roots and development of a seed in the same terms as it's above ground counterpart. By making them seem equal like this, you have shown me how the "unseen" aspects are just as important and beautiful as the external ones.
