Fishing for thoughts

D70 - 105mm, 1/250 sec f/8.0, ISO 800

In a consciousness sea
they breed and evolve
heavenly and monstrous alike.

To our mood they hold fast
like a dreamcatcher's web
and for an instant, we are blessed by their life.

But the thoughts that we latched
would be hard to describe
were it not for the fact (it's a strange one indeed)

we all live on the shores
- no, no villa with view -
of this rather peculiar pond.

  2. @ Maggie: thank you!

@ Na': you're right! It does seem we have been inspired almost simultaneously by this idea. I think it's time to have some sushi to quench our subliminal thirst for fish :-D

  3. I have been told the photo on this post is rather cruel. Actually this is far from the truth. This is a picture of a small lake shot in a nature oasis in Okinawa, Japan.
The fishes here are swarming to the pond bank in response to human presence, as they are expecting tourists to grant them some food (typically bread crumbs).
