Day 6

Tenerife
(Canary Islands)

Characteristic, crowded, tasty, rotten, dry, green, hot... and so many other adjectives I could use to describe this place. Perfect for the lazy, attractive to the gourmand, mysterious for the adventurous.

Green canyons are embroidered with small villages, the happy sound of the Spanish language echoes among color patches and a perfect weather welcomes us on this island. And.. did I already mention the excellent food?

  1. @ spacedlaw: :D the problem is that my mouth starts watering again when I think of it!
A couple of things stand above all: "patas arrugadas" with a delicious garlic sauce, and octopus casserole with peppers.

  4. I love the trilogy photo you have of, what is it, tiles? The images I see in them are amazing. The one on the right looks like lovers about to kiss. Your photography is really exceptional. Do you ever enter contests or anything AC? It is quite above the ordinary, your talent there.

  6. @ catvibe & floreta: :-) you are too kind. the trilogy is nothing but sand, simple sand of a dune. I have taken several shots sampling different varieties of sand, depending on its humidity grade and compactness. It was quite instructive and peaceful, to stare at that sea of dunes. There is much to learn in a desert, however small it may be.
