    next time you happen to be near Rome, I advise you to forget the eternal city for a while and dive into some less known but more rewarding treasures found near L'Aquila (about 150 km from Rome).
    I shall post some photos of those wherebouts in the next future.

  3. all i can say is WOW! thank you for the links. & future photos...please do. i am grateful that it is so close to roma. my time in the eternal city next year (language classes) will allow for some travel on weekends before i head to romania. i think i really need to apply to grad school there (roma)...i will never get enough on these shorter jaunts!
