Far and near: Five

D300 - 105 mm, 1/250 sec f/2.8, ISO 250

A stream of intersecting thoughts
run free
with direction.
A.N. Rodriguez

Whispers line the path, so smooth in a sea of pebbles
It’s silent now, a mystery, but full of answers I don't yet know.
Kristin

I stumbled upon the pathway
of the rest of my life

For only when looking back, do we realize
the shortest path is seldom a straight line.

  1. I apologize for unwanted line breaks but the blog format is what it is. Should some of you authors want to reshape your work in terms of line breaks please let me know.

  2. This is so wonderful! As an English teacher, it is a beautiful thing for me to see people willingly write poetry. In my graduate classes, we actually talk about using pictures and art to help students feel inspired to write poetry and stories. Thank you for being great role models for the future population!

Also, Andrea, now that things are coming back to order, I may be able to drag my lazy self back to your project. Hugs and kisses!

  4. i am really taken with kristin's thought of the smooth pebbles as whispers of answers.

& andrea, i kept seeing the path as "ahead"...thanks for the reminder that it might just be "behind"...

  5. @ qualcosa di bello: despite its apparent clarity this wasn't an easy picture. I am happy of the outcome and thankful for all contribution.

The only path we know of is the one we have traced. What lies ahead can probably be represented as uncountable paths which collapse to one as we walk. Our will, our intent, shape them like a wave propagating into the future.

  7. How I have missed this connection to the Near and Far...the busy-work of life can appear so urgent and the quality it has brought to my life is little. I hope to be back in a connecting place soon. Thank you AC for providing a space of such beauty and grace for me to rest my weary bones.
    Much love,
    Linda
